छतरपुर. सिविल लाइन थाना क्षेत्र स्थित कोर्ट परिसर में दो पक्षों के बीच जमकर मारपीट और लात घूंसे चले। इस पूरे घटनाक्रम का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर तेजी से वायरल हो रहा है, जिसमें पेशी पर आए दोनों पक्षों का अंदर इंतजार होता रहा और बाहर उनमें जमकर लात घूंसे चलते रहे। इसी बीच पुलिस ने भी उन्हें राेकने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन वे नहीं माने। इसके बाद पुलिस ने भी दोनों पक्षों को जमकर पीटा। वीडियो में साफ देखा जा सकता है कि कैसे दोनों पक्षों के लोग खुलेआम एक-दूसरे पर हमला कर रहे हैं। मारपीट के दौरान कोर्ट परिसर में मौजूद अन्य लोग डर के मारे दूर खड़े रहे।

Operation Sindoor: Pakistan has acknowledged the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed the precise Indian strikes on their major airbases in the early hours of 7 May, as part of Operation Sindoor. This is his first video statement addressing the recent four-day conflict. Addressing a ceremony at the Pakistan Monument on Friday, Sharif stated that he was woken at 2:30 am by the Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, shortly after the commencement of the Indian operation.

Rajasthan Weather News: Heatwave conditions have intensified across Rajasthan. Temperatures have exceeded 45°C in several districts, and the &#8216;Nau Tapa&#8217; (Nine Days of Scorching Heat), a period when the sun is closest to the earth and heatwaves are most intense, is set to begin on 25 May. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain in nine districts, including Kota, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, and Banswara, while a heatwave warning has been issued for Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Hanumangarh, and Sri Ganganagar.

Drink plenty of fluids like water and lemon juice. Keep children and the elderly away from direct sunlight. Cover your head and use a towel, hat, or umbrella. The Meteorological Department predicts that light rain and thunderstorms in several districts may provide some relief in the coming days, but temperatures are expected to rise further during the Nau Tapa period.

MP electricity prices double those in Gujarat and Chhattisgarh, consumers frustrated

Electricity Prices in MP: Consumers in Madhya Pradesh (MP), including Bhopal, are forced to pay almost double the electricity bill compared to neighbouring states like Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. This situation persists even though the government claims to provide substantial subsidies to consumers and assures no increase in electricity rates.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Electricity More Expensive Than Neighbouring States</h2>



A consumer using approximately 200 units of electricity in Madhya Pradesh receives a monthly bill of around ₹1,425. Consumers in the same category pay ₹900 in Chhattisgarh and only ₹785 per month in Gujarat. This means they pay ₹500 to ₹700 less than those in MP. Consumers who use up to 300 units of electricity per month pay approximately ₹2,342 in Madhya Pradesh, while in Chhattisgarh it is around ₹1,450 and in Gujarat only ₹1,253 per month. This amounts to almost double the cost.



Umakant Panda, Secretary of the MP Electricity Regulatory Commission, stated that consumers are continuously receiving relief and facilities regarding electricity. Variations in bills may be due to local factors. The regulatory commission determines rates after hearing all parties involved.

Neeraj Chopra&#8217;s Best Throw: India&#8217;s &#8216;Golden Boy&#8217;, Neeraj Chopra, created history at the Doha Diamond League by throwing the javelin beyond 90 metres for the first time. In the final, he achieved a personal best of 90.23 metres with his third attempt. His previous best was 89.94 metres, achieved on 30 June 2022 at the Stockholm Diamond League. Despite this best throw, Neeraj Chopra had to settle for a silver medal as Germany&#8217;s Weber Julian won the gold medal with a throw of 91.06 metres. Neeraj was in first place until his fifth throw, but Julian overtook him in the sixth and final throw.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The 90-Metre Mark: A Challenge Overcome</h2>



The 90-metre mark was not just a number; it was a significant challenge for Neeraj Chopra. He had come very close several times, but always fell short, managing only 88 or 89 metres. Despite winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics and the Budapest World Championships, the question remained: would Neeraj ever cross the 90-metre mark? He has now answered this question with unwavering determination.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Historic Throw on the Third Attempt</h2>



When Neeraj Chopra made this historic throw on his third attempt, the entire stadium erupted in cheers. The role of his new coach, Jan Železný, is also considered crucial in this performance. Neeraj recently replaced German coach Dr. Klaus Bartonietz with Železný, a three-time Olympic gold medallist from the Czech Republic.

With this throw, Neeraj has joined the 90-metre club, which already includes athletes like Pakistan&#8217;s Olympic gold medallist Arshad Nadeem . This achievement is not just a record for Neeraj; it&#8217;s a significant personal victory.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Anderson Wins Bronze with 85.64 Metres</h2>



This was Neeraj&#8217;s first major competition of the season in Doha, where he faced formidable opponents including Grenada&#8217;s two-time world champion and 2024 Olympic bronze medallist Anderson Peters , Jakub Vadlejch from Czechia (2024 Doha winner), Germany&#8217;s Weber Julian and Max Dehning, Kenya&#8217;s Julius Yego, and Japan&#8217;s Roderick Jenki Dean. Anderson won the bronze medal with a throw of 85.64 metres.

PM Modi to visit Rajasthan for the first time after 'Operation Sindoor' success, to address public

During the Indian Army’s anti-terror operation ‘Operation Sindoor’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bikaner on 22 May. In Deshnok, he will digitally inaugurate railway stations built across the country under the Amrit Bharat Scheme. He will also address the public during the event.



Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will also participate. Prior to this, on 17 May, Union Law Minister Arjunram Meghwal, along with ministers from the state and central governments, will arrive in Bikaner to finalise the arrangements for the Prime Minister&#8217;s visit.



Following indications from the Prime Minister&#8217;s Office (PMO), the district administration became active on Thursday. Under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme, two high-tech railway stations, Dabwali and Gogamedi, have been completed in the Bikaner division. Work on Lalgarh station in Bikaner is also nearing completion. The Desnok railway station in the Jodhpur division has been completed. Under this scheme, 22 stations in the Bikaner division are being redeveloped.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Law Minister Meghwal to arrive on 17 May</h2>



Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s visit, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, along with ministers from the state and central governments, will arrive in Bikaner on 17 May. District Collector and Superintendent of Police, along with other officials, reached Desnok late Thursday evening to oversee arrangements, including the helipad.

Mayank Yadav, Indian Premier League 2025: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have suffered another major setback. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 due to a back injury. He has been replaced by New Zealand fast bowler William O’Rourke for ₹3 crore.



Mayank had been battling injuries at the start of the season as well. After returning, he played two matches against Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), but managed only two wickets.



This is not the first time Mayank has been sidelined due to injury. He was also out of action for most of the 2024 season due to a strange toe injury. He missed not only the IPL but also the domestic cricket season. However, he did make his debut for India in the T20 series against Bangladesh in October 2024.



Commenting on his injury, Mayank said, “I had a major injury that kept me away from cricket for 5-6 months. The body needs time to regain its rhythm. There have been no changes in my bowling technique, but it&#8217;s essential to rebuild the body and pace.”



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Punjab Kings Changes: Ferguson Replaced by Jamieson</h2>



Punjab Kings (PBKS) have also suffered a major blow with the injury to fast bowler Lockie Ferguson. He was injured during a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He has been replaced by his compatriot Kyle Jamieson for ₹2 crore. Jamieson previously played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gujarat Titans Setback: Jos Buttler Replaced by Kusal Mendis</h2>



Gujarat Titans (GT) have heavily relied on their top order this season. But the team has now suffered a major setback as Jos Buttler has decided to withdraw from the remaining IPL matches to focus on national team commitments. He has been replaced by Sri Lankan batsman Kusal Mendis for ₹75 lakh. Buttler&#8217;s absence could make the playoff challenge more difficult for captain Shubman Gill.

This is not the first time Mayank has been sidelined due to injury. He also missed a significant portion of the 2024 season due to a strange toe injury. He missed not only the IPL but also the domestic cricket season. However, he did debut for India in the T20 series against Bangladesh in October 2024.
