अमिता शॉ ने बताया कि वे बायोलॉजिकल मां कभी नहीं बनी क्योंकि वह ङ्क्षसगल थी। लेकिन उनका हजारों-लाखों बच्चों से जुड़ाव रहा। उन्होंने बताया कि उन्होंने जीजस मैरी स्कूल और ब्रिटिश स्कूल दिल्ली में बच्चों को पढ़ाया। इसके बाद 26 साल राष्ट्रीय बाल भवन में डायरेक्टर रहीं। पांच साल विदेश जाकर मोरिसिस में सरकार की तरफ से जाकर भारतीय संस्कृति का प्रचार प्रसार किया, वहां मेरे सेंटर पर हजारों बच्चों आते थे। इस दौरान मैंने हमेशा बच्चों के पर्सनेलिटी डवलपमेंट के ऊपर काम किया। मेरा विषय फिजिकल एजूकेशन और ड्रामा था। बच्चों को भाषण देना और आत्म विश्वास विकसित करना मैंने सिखाया। </p>

<p>बालोतरा जिले में पिछले कुछ दिनों से पैंथर की दहशत है। कुछ दिन पूर्व पैंथर रिफाइनरी में दिखाया दिया था। उस वक्त एक श्रमिक पर हमला कर घायल कर दिया। इसके बाद उसके पकड़ने के प्रयास किए लेकिन पकड़ में नहीं आया। अब सात-आठ दिन बाद फिर से पैंथर दिखा है। </p>

<p>गुड़ी वन परिक्षेत्र में जंगल में कब्जा कर खेती कर रहे आमाखुजरी के अतिक्रमण कारियों ने वन विभाग के अमले पर हमला कर दिया। वनकर्मियों को लट्ठ व डंडे से पीटकर पत्थर मारे और उनसे जब्त ट्रैक्टर छुड़ाकर ले गया। वनकर्मियों ने वहां से भागकर अपनी जान बचाई है। इस हमले में तीन वनकर्मी घायल हुए हैं। </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Reasons for the Decision</h2>



<p>Tensions between the two countries are at their peak following India&#8217;s &#8216;Operation Sindhur&#8217;, which involved air strikes on terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). In response, Pakistan attempted drone and missile attacks, which were thwarted by the Indian air defence system. This precautionary measure was taken following reports of drone activity in Jammu and Kashmir late at night.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Airline Statements</h2>



<p>Air India announced on the social media platform X that all flights to and from Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jodhpur and Rajkot had been cancelled for 13 May 2025, citing the latest developments and concerns for passenger safety. IndiGo also issued a travel advisory informing passengers that flights from these cities were affected due to the evolving airspace situation in the region, and advised them to check their flight status before heading to the airport.</p>

<p>Tensions between India and Pakistan are easing, returning to normalcy. Following the ceasefire, restrictions in border areas are being lifted, with normal activities resuming from Tuesday. There were no blackouts in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Bikaner on Monday, and the administration has announced the reopening of schools and colleges from Tuesday, allowing for the resumption of examinations. However, Sri Ganganagar maintained a precautionary blackout on Monday, with schools remaining closed until further notice. Meanwhile, Jodhpur airport, closed for six days, will reopen for air traffic on Tuesday. The Barmer administration has also declared a return to normalcy.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Two-Hour Blackout in Jhunjhunu Towns</h2>



<p>Following reports of drones hovering over the Chidawa and Surajgarh areas of Jhunjhunu district on Monday night, a precautionary blackout was imposed in Chidawa, Surajgarh, Pilani, Singhana, Buhana, Mandrela, and Sultana for security reasons. However, the blackout was lifted after two hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Schools to Remain Closed</h2>



<p>In Sri Ganganagar, life is returning to normal in border areas following the ceasefire. However, schools will remain closed for now. District Collector Dr. Manju stated that a decision on reopening schools will be made only after the situation fully normalises. Meanwhile, ADM Administration Subhash Chandra explained that a blackout was maintained on Monday as a precautionary measure. On Sunday night, loud explosions were heard in the Lalgarh Jatan area. The discovery of a Pakistani flag and balloon in the Ghamudwali police station area of Sri Ganganagar caused a stir. The balloon bore the mark of Pakistan and the flag of the PTI party. Intelligence agencies have been informed, and an investigation is underway.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Markets Open in Khajuwala</h2>



<p>Even the precautionary blackouts in the border areas of Bikaner were relaxed on Monday. As a result, the markets in Bikaner city and the border town of Khajuwala remained open on Monday night. In the border town of Bajju, however, the police briefly closed the market at 7 pm due to a delay in the arrival of the District Collector&#8217;s order. Upon receiving this information, the District Collector instructed the sub-divisional administration to lift the market closure order, preventing further action.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Drone Sighted at Border, Army Fires Three Rounds</h2>



<p>A drone was sighted around 5 am on Monday in the Gadrarod area of Barmer. Sources say the army destroyed it using three rounds from an LMG. The early morning explosions woke up villagers. Villager Shahrukh Khan reported hearing loud explosions and gunfire around 5 am. Late at night, there were also claims of a drone sighting and explosions in the Jalipha area, but the administration reported the situation as normal.</p>

<p>On 10 May, in response to Pakistani attacks following ‘Operation Sindoor’, India launched air strikes on several Pakistani airbases, including Nur Khan Airbase near Rawalpindi, close to the military headquarters. Furthermore, the Indian army also attacked Mushaf Airbase in Sargodha. Reports suggest that Nur Khan Airbase houses Pakistan&#8217;s nuclear command base, and the Kirana Hills near Mushaf Airbase contain Pakistan&#8217;s nuclear storage facility.</p>

<p><strong>CUET UG Dress Code:</strong> The CUET UG examination is commencing today, 13 May. Passing this exam is mandatory for admission to undergraduate courses in over 300 universities across the country. The CUET UG score will be used for admission to several major universities, including DU, JNU, BHU, Jamia, AMU, and Allahabad University. This year&#8217;s CUET UG exam will be conducted in CBT mode.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Optional Questions Removed</h2>



<p>The optional question system has been eliminated from the CUET UG exam this year. All questions will be compulsory for candidates. Previously, 10 out of 60 questions were optional, but this has now been removed. The exam duration will be 60 minutes. Each test paper will contain 50 questions. Five marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.</p>

<p>Candidates must bring their admit card, passport-size photograph, and one photo ID (Aadhaar card/PAN card/Voter ID card/Passport/Driving Licence). Entry to the examination hall will not be granted without these documents. Candidates who have exams in two subjects on the same day should carry two photographs.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Arrive on Time</h2>



<p>Entry will be allowed up to half an hour before the commencement of the examination. Students are advised to arrive on time to avoid any difficulties with checking, etc.</p>

<p>In addition to the admit card, candidates should bring their original Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, or other photo ID proof. A passport-size photograph should be affixed to the admit card. Candidates may bring a transparent water bottle.</p>

<p>Electronic items such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, microphones, calculators, electronic gadgets, geometry or pencil boxes, watches, etc., are not allowed. Food items are also not permitted inside the examination centre.</p>

<p><strong>Rajasthan Weather:</strong> The meteorological department has issued a new alert stating that there is a possibility of thunderstorms, gusty winds, and light to moderate rain in parts of the five divisions of Rajasthan today, May 12. According to the weather department&#8217;s prediction, on May 12, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, gusty winds, and light to moderate rain in parts of Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Udaipur, and Kota divisions. According to the meteorological department, the weather will change in many parts of Rajasthan from May 13 to 15.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Weather in East and West Rajasthan to Change on May 13</h2>



<p>The weather department forecasts a decrease in thunderstorm activity in parts of western Rajasthan from May 13. A temperature increase of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius is also expected. Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is possible in parts of Kota, Udaipur, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions in eastern Rajasthan on May 13.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Possibility of a New Heatwave</h2>



<p>According to the meteorological department, from May 14, the maximum temperature in the border areas of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions is likely to reach 44-45 degrees Celsius, with a possibility of a new heatwave in some areas. Similar weather conditions are expected on May 15.</p>

<p>According to meteorological department data, the highest maximum temperature in Rajasthan over the past 24 hours was recorded in Bikaner at 42.3 degrees Celsius (0.2 degrees above normal). The highest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 29.8 degrees Celsius in Bikaner.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Nathdwara Records Highest Rainfall in the Past 24 Hours</h2>



<p>According to meteorological department data, a dust storm occurred in Ganganagar district, and light to moderate rain with thunderstorms was recorded in several parts of the state over the past 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 46 mm was recorded in Nathdwara, Rajsamand.</p>
