ED Action in Jaipur: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a major raid on Wednesday at the five-star Fairmont Hotel in Kukas, Jaipur, Rajasthan, in connection with a case involving the Mahadev betting app. A special team from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, carried out this action based on confidential information, questioning several suspicious individuals staying in two or three rooms of the hotel.



Sources suggest these individuals were staying at the hotel to attend a wedding and are allegedly linked to the illegal network of the Mahadev betting app. The ED team initiated action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Sources revealed that the team received intelligence about the suspicious individuals linked to the Mahadev betting app being present at the hotel. Based on this, the hotel was raided and the suspects are being questioned.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Previous Actions in Jaipur</h2>



This is not the first action against this network in Jaipur. On April 16, the ED raided several locations, including the flat of dry fruit trader Bharat Dadhich in the Sodala area of Jaipur. Significant evidence related to money laundering, cryptocurrency, and shell companies was found during that raid.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Illegal Betting on Mahadev Betting App</h2>



The Mahadev betting app is an illegal online betting platform known for facilitating betting on sports like cricket and football. The app and its website handle transactions worth billions of rupees. The ED investigation has revealed that several influential individuals and business entities are involved in this network. It is estimated that the scam could involve up to Rs 40,000 crore in fraudulent activity.



It is noteworthy that last year, the ED also took action against this network, seizing assets worth crores of rupees and arresting several accused. In April, a simultaneous search operation was conducted at more than 60 locations across Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Kolkata, and Delhi.

Delhi Mumbai Expressway: Jaipur Bandikui link opens, Delhi now just 3 hours away

Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: Jaipur/Dausa: The Bandikui-Jaipur Link Expressway, connecting the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to Jaipur, is finally set to open on Wednesday morning at 8 am. The expressway will be open for a trial period of one to ten days. No toll will be levied during this trial period.



It is understood that if no flaws are found, the expressway will be opened permanently, and toll collection will commence. Traffic will not begin on Wednesday from any interchanges except the Khuri interchange. If all goes well, traffic will be allowed on the expressway from other interchanges within a day or two.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Expressway built at a cost of crores</h2>



According to NHAI officials, the 66.91-kilometre-long Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway has been constructed at a cost of ₹1368 crore. During the trial period, no vehicles will be stopped except tractors, motorcycles, and other prohibited vehicles. After the opening of the Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway, the journey from Jaipur to Delhi will become easier and quicker, taking only two and a half to three hours.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Proposed Toll</h2>



&#8211; ₹150 toll on the 66.91 km Jaipur-Bandikui Expressway. &#8211; ₹550 to ₹560 toll on the Jaipur-Bandikui-Sohna Expressway. &#8211; ₹130 toll on the Sohna to Gurugram six-lane highway. &#8211; ₹680 to ₹690 toll between Jaipur and Delhi. (For private car drivers)



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tolls to start after receiving instructions</h2>



The trial run on the Jaipur-Bandikui Expressway will begin at 8 am on Wednesday. Initially, traffic from the Delhi Expressway and Manoharpur Highway will be allowed. Medical Recruitment: Jaipur. An unprecedented revolution has begun in the medical field in Rajasthan. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced on Tuesday at a Doctors&#8217; Day event held on the SMS Medical College campus that the state government has worked to give a new direction to the structure of healthcare services in just one and a half years in office. During this time, more than 24,000 positions have been filled in the medical field, while approximately 26,000 recruitments are underway.



The Chief Minister stated that the government has started academic sessions in 5 new medical colleges to expand medical education. This year, medical colleges in Tonk and Jaisalmer are also going to open for students. This will provide new opportunities for the state&#8217;s youth in the medical field, while also offering healthcare services with high-level expertise.



He stated that the government aims to empower every district and region with medical facilities as much as possible. In this direction, the RUHSS hospital is being developed as the ‘Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)’, for which a budget of ₹700 crore has been allocated.



The Chief Minister also said that these efforts are revolutionary steps towards changing not only the medical infrastructure but the entire health scenario of the state. This coordination of medical education and services is a strong step towards the resolution of ‘Niramaya Rajasthan’.



Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar stated that the state government is continuously taking concrete initiatives to ensure the safety, welfare, and transparency of doctors&#8217; services. Recruitment and expansion of institutions are making medical access possible even in villages and hamlets.



Rajasthan is now establishing itself among the leading states in the country in the medical field, and the government&#8217;s visionary policies are making the dream of ‘Niramaya Rajasthan’ seem soon to be realised.

CG News: The middle school in Ruwaad gram panchayat, Chura block, Gariaband district, is in a dilapidated state. While classes have commenced, the school building is extremely dilapidated. Even after the school reopened on 15 June, children are forced to study under crumbling walls and leaking roofs. The safety of students and teachers is at serious risk.



The school building&#8217;s walls are crumbling in several places. The roof constantly leaks. The situation worsens during rainfall. The building lacks basic amenities, significantly hindering students&#8217; studies. Students reported that coming to school during rain is dangerous, with neither the roof nor the walls being safe. Classes often have to be interrupted.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The &#8220;School Jatan Yojana&#8221; is limited to paper only</h2>



Teachers are also worried. They say that there is a constant fear of an accident. In such a situation, studies are not happening properly. The academic future of the students is being affected. 



Village representatives and panchayat members are continuously requesting financial assistance from the government and administration for building repairs. They say that the government should pay attention to this soon, otherwise, a major accident could happen one day. Overall, in this village, the government&#8217;s School Jatan Yojana has remained limited to paper only.

His innings of 109 runs in 77 balls showcased the power of Indian batting to the world.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Virender Sehwag – Century in 78 balls (2006, against West Indies)</h2>



Former explosive batsman Virender Sehwag, known for dismantling bowlers across all three formats of cricket, scored the second-fastest Test century for India. Sehwag achieved this feat in 78 balls during a match against the West Indies in St Lucia in June 2006. Sehwag&#8217;s 180-run innings not only propelled India to a strong position but also highlighted his aggressive style in Test cricket. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Shikhar Dhawan – Century in 85 balls (2013, against Australia)</h2>



Shikhar Dhawan created history in his Test debut. In a Test match against Australia played in Mohali in March 2013, Dhawan completed a century in just 85 balls, a world record for the fastest century on Test debut. His innings of 187 runs in 174 balls included 33 fours and two sixes. This innings catapulted Dhawan to stardom overnight and ushered in a new era in Indian cricket.

Kapil Dev was one of the most aggressive batsmen of his time. In a Test match against the West Indies played in Port of Spain in January 1982, Kapil scored a century in 86 balls. This innings came at a time when the West Indies bowling attack was at its peak, including legendary bowlers like Malcolm Marshall and Michael Holding. Meanwhile, according to a report in TOI, the schedule for the 17-day tournament is almost finalised, with the first match on 5 September and the final on 21 September. The tournament will follow a group stage followed by a Super Four format. It is worth noting that the Asia Cup and ICC events are the only platforms where India and Pakistan regularly face each other.

The report suggests that India&#8217;s first encounter with arch-rival Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 will be on 7 September, with a second potential clash on 14 September.
