<p>According to the Meteorological Department&#8217;s data, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in several parts of the state in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 21 mm was recorded in Kishangarh (Baran). Heat waves/hot nights were also recorded in some parts of the state.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Nagaur Records Highest Minimum Temperature</h2>



<p>According to the Meteorological Department&#8217;s data, the highest maximum temperature in Rajasthan in the last 24 hours was recorded at 43.6 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer. The highest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 30.9 degrees Celsius in Nagaur.</p>

Operation Sindoor: Over 2,000 Illegal Bangladeshi Migrants Deported


<p><strong>Operation Sindoor:</strong> Over 2,000 alleged illegal Bangladeshi immigrants have been deported from India under “Operation Sindoor,” launched by the central government on 7 May. This information was provided by government sources in an official statement to the <em>Indian Express</em>. Following a nationwide document verification drive, these immigrants were sent across the border to Bangladesh. This ongoing operation clearly demonstrates the central government’s firm stance on illegal immigration, with preparations underway for similar actions in other states.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Over 2,000 Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants Deported</strong></h2>



<p>According to sources, the fear generated by this operation has led a large number of immigrants to voluntarily approach the India-Bangladesh border and leave the country. Approximately 2,000 individuals have crossed the border without any formal proceedings.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Central Government’s Campaign in Three North-Eastern States</strong></h2>



<p>Operation Sindoor is primarily focused on border states like Tripura, Meghalaya, and Assam, where the ‘return’ process to the Bangladesh border is considered easier. A senior official stated that a focused effort in this direction began after the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, in April. Operation Sindoor organised and expedited this action.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Highest Number of Deportations from Gujarat</strong></h2>



<p>According to officials, the operation began in Gujarat, where illegal immigrants were first identified and deported. Almost half of those deported so far are from Gujarat. A large number of Bangladeshi immigrants were also apprehended and sent to the border in Delhi and Haryana. Additionally, people have been deported from Assam, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Delhi and Haryana Also Involved</strong></h2>



<p>A senior government source stated that this process will continue, and the operation is becoming more extensive due to the higher number of immigrants in states with significant industrial activity, such as Delhi, Haryana, and Maharashtra.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Bangladeshis Provided Food and Water at BSF Camps Before Deportation</strong></h2>



<p>According to sources, these illegal immigrants are being transported from various states to the border by Indian Air Force aircraft, where they are housed in temporary camps run by the Border Security Force (BSF). They are provided with food and some Bangladeshi currency as needed to meet their immediate needs after crossing the border. After a few hours of formal detention, they are returned to their country.</p>

COVID-19 Cases Surge 257 to Over 3700 in Just 10 Days


<p><strong>Corona Cases In India:</strong> A surge in COVID-19 cases has been observed in India over the past 10 days. According to the Union Health Ministry&#8217;s COVID-19 dashboard, cases have risen from 257 to over 3700 in this period – a significant and alarming increase. If this trend continues, stricter measures from the administration may be implemented in the coming days.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cases Rise from 257 to Over 3700 in Just 10 Days</h2>



<p>Data from the Health Ministry&#8217;s website shows 3758 active COVID-19 cases in the country. There has been an increase of over 1200% in COVID-19 cases in the last 10 days, a cause for serious concern. On 22 May 2025, there were only 257 active cases, which rose to 1010 by 26 May. In the last 24 hours, 363 new cases have been reported, along with 2 deaths.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Health Ministry Expresses Concern</h2>



<p>The information available on the Union Health Ministry&#8217;s COVID dashboard suggests that the administration may implement stricter measures in the coming days in response to this rapid increase in infections. The re-implementation of COVID protocols in public places, hospitals, and sensitive areas is anticipated.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Increase in COVID Cases Across the Country</h2>



<p>A rise in COVID-19 cases is being observed not only in Delhi but also in several other parts of the country, particularly in Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu. However, most cases are mild, with a low risk of severe illness or death. Figures up to Sunday show 1400 active cases in Kerala, 485 in Maharashtra, and 436 in Delhi.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Spread of New Omicron Variants</h2>



<p>The primary driver of this global increase in COVID-19 cases is attributed to new variants of the Omicron strain of the coronavirus. Prominent among these are LF.7 and NB1.8, sub-lineages of the JN.1 variant. JN.1, also known as the &#8216;Pirola&#8217; strain, is a descendant of the BA.2.86 variant and can bypass existing immunity. While symptoms remain similar to Omicron, this new variant spreads more rapidly.</p>


<p>According to data available on the Ministry of Health&#8217;s website, there are 3758 active COVID-19 cases in the country. COVID-19 cases have increased by over 1200% in the last 10 days, which is a cause for concern.</p>

<p>A significant initiative to promote &#8216;Made in Rajasthan&#8217; under the &#8216;Make in India&#8217; scheme within the defence sector is set to commence in Jodhpur following Operation Sindoor. While BrahMos missile production is gaining momentum in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan has taken its first step towards boosting its defence sector under the &#8216;Rising Rajasthan&#8217; initiative. Defence clearance has been obtained, and successful testing has been completed for projects exceeding ₹1500 crore in MOUs.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Parts to be Manufactured in Various Cities</h2>



<p>Gun parts will be manufactured in various regions, including Jodhpur and Jaipur. Subsequently, the barrel will be produced at a factory in Jodhpur&#8217;s Boranada Industrial Area. The assembly location within the state remains undisclosed for security reasons.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Challenge of Ammunition Storage</h2>



<p>Stringent regulations govern ammunition storage for these machine guns and their bullets. The storage location must be situated at least 8-10 km away from any populated area. The government has been approached for suitable land for this crucial project.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Items to be Manufactured</h2>



<p><strong>Military-Grade Sniper Rifle:</strong> A long-range, high-precision sniper rifle will be produced, capable of sub-MOA accuracy at long distances. Under certain conditions, it can hit targets up to 2.4 kilometres away. It consistently performs well in various environmental conditions and will be a 100% Made in India product.</p>



<p><strong>Multi-Barrel Machine Gun:</strong> This gun, capable of firing at a rate of 6,000 rounds per minute, will also be manufactured in Jodhpur and Rajasthan. It boasts an accurate range of 1,000 yards and fires 15,000 rounds in a single belt feed. Future upgrades include its potential development as a C-RAM (Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar) or anti-aircraft weapon system. It is being manufactured under the Make in India initiative.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Export Potential Alongside Indian Defence Systems</h2>



<p>Ravindra Singh Rathore, a defence startup founder, explains that extensive testing has been conducted overseas with positive results. Two levels of approvals have been received from the Indian government. Export potential exists alongside supplying the Indian defence system. Togo and Thailand have expressed initial interest.</p>


<p>Gun parts will be manufactured in different areas, including Jodhpur and Jaipur. Subsequently, the barrel will be manufactured at a factory located in the Boranada industrial area of Jodhpur.</p>

<p>A video showing a Samajwadi Party leader in an objectionable position with a young woman has caused a stir in Prayagraj. The video depicts the SP leader in an objectionable situation with the woman, who is holding a bottle of alcohol and sitting on his lap. The video is rapidly circulating on social media. However, the publication does not verify the authenticity of this video.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Who is the SP Leader?</h2>



<p>The individual shown in the video is a resident of Meja Lohari village, Prayagraj. He has been associated with the Samajwadi Party (Samajwadi Party) for a long time, holding positions such as District Secretary, Tehsil Vice President, and Lok Sabha In-charge within the party.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is in the Video?</h2>



<p>The video appears to be from a closed room where 4-5 people are seen engaging in a drinking party. Two or three young women are also present in the room. Besides the SP leader, two other individuals are visible in the video. It is believed that the video was recorded during a dance and drinking party.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Police Launch Investigation</h2>



<p>Following the emergence of the video, DCP Yamunanagar, Vivek Chandra Yadav, has ordered the Meja police station to file an FIR. The police are now investigating the authenticity of the video, determining when and by whom it was created.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Leader Claims Political Conspiracy</h2>



<p>The SP leader has dismissed the entire matter as false and a conspiracy. He claims the video is fabricated and alleges that a fellow MLA from his own party orchestrated this plot to defame him. The SP leader states that he is currently preoccupied with a family wedding and will submit a written complaint to the authorities after the wedding.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Leader Faces Previous Charges</h2>



<p>It is noteworthy that the SP leader already faces several criminal charges. He has an open history sheet at the Meja police station. He has more than 10 cases registered against him, including charges of attempted murder, assault, obstruction of government work, road blockage, and rioting during elections.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Police Continue Investigation</h2>



<p>Currently, the police are investigating the matter. A technical examination is underway to verify the authenticity of the video. Meanwhile, the SP leader maintains his innocence, alleging a political conspiracy.</p>

Mad: Affordable Housing Under PM Awas Yojana


<p><strong>PM Awas Yojana:</strong> Registration for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban 2.0 has begun in Madhya Pradesh, but beneficiaries will have to wait 5-6 months to receive its benefits. This is because only four components of the scheme have been announced so far; the complete guidelines are yet to be released. This time, the scheme will also include affordable rental housing, but details are still awaited.</p>



<p>The government has set a target of building houses for 1 million people under this scheme. Currently, it is not yet decided how many beneficiaries will benefit under each component of the scheme. This will be determined only after the guidelines are released.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">8.5 Lakh Houses Built So Far</h2>



<p>In Madhya Pradesh, 8.5 lakh houses have been built so far under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 1.0. ₹22,975 crore has been spent on this. Beneficiaries have not been able to receive houses due to incomplete housing projects.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">People Applied in Large Numbers, But Did Not Receive Benefits</h2>



<p>PM Awas Yojana 2.0 was launched in 2024. A large number of people are applying to get affordable rental housing under this scheme. No one can say when the benefits will be available. Two models have been defined for this, but work on them has not yet been completed in the state. According to officials of the Urban Development and Housing Department, the guidelines for the scheme are likely to be issued by the Centre in September. Work will progress only after that.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ministry Issues Advisory to Prevent Fraud</h2>



<p>Following complaints of fraud in the name of this scheme, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has also issued an advisory and helpline number. It states that offline and online surveys are conducted by the concerned urban body for the scheme.</p>



<p>However, eligible beneficiaries can also register online through the integrated web portal. If anyone demands money to get the benefit of the scheme, file an FIR with the police.</p>

<p>Jhalawar BJP Leader Brutally Murdered: A shocking incident unfolded Monday morning in Jhalawar district, Rajasthan, where Surendra Mewara (सुरेंद्र मेवाड़ा), an active leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants. The attack took place in Mandawar village while Mewara was returning home from his farm.</p>



<p>According to eyewitnesses, around 7 am, Mewara was attacked with sharp weapons, leaving him severely injured. Family members and villagers rushed him to Shri Rajendra Hospital in Jhalawar, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.</p>



<p>Following the incident, police inspected the scene and sent the body to the hospital mortuary for post-mortem. A large crowd gathered at the scene, creating a tense atmosphere. Police deployed additional forces at the hospital as a precaution. The motive behind the murder is yet unknown, but police are investigating from various angles. Teams have been formed to search for the accused, and a blockade has been set up in the area.</p>



<p>It is noteworthy that Surendra Mewara was previously involved in the well-known Sattu Chaudhary murder case. He was sentenced to life imprisonment by the trial court but later granted bail by the High Court. He was considered to have a strong hold in local politics, leading to speculation that the murder may be linked to personal rivalry.</p>
