<p>Eight individuals of Indian origin, including one wanted by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA), have been arrested in the United States. Among those apprehended is Navjot Singh Batala, a known gangster from Punjab with alleged links to the banned terrorist organisation, Babbar Khalsa International. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Over $15,000 in Cash Recovered</h2>



<p>According to a statement from the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office in California, multiple law enforcement teams, including FBI SWAT, Stockton Police Department SWAT, and the local Sheriff’s Office, conducted simultaneous searches at five locations on July 11th as part of an investigation. During the raids, authorities recovered five handguns, one of which was a fully automatic Glock, an assault rifle, a large quantity of ammunition, high-capacity magazines, and over $15,000 in cash.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Serious Charges Filed Against Suspects</h2>



<p>The arrested suspects have been identified as Dilpreet Singh, Arshpreet Singh, Amritpal Singh, Vishal, Pavittar Singh, Gurtaj Singh, Manpreet Randhawa, and Sarabjit Singh. According to Indian intelligence agencies, all are part of a large gangster-terrorist network and face serious criminal charges, including kidnapping, torture, conspiracy, false imprisonment, witness intimidation, and multiple weapons violations. These violations include possession of machine guns, illegal assault weapons, manufacturing high-capacity magazines, and possession of unregistered firearms.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Arrests Made Under Operation Summer Heat</h2>



<p>Sources indicate that all eight suspects entered the US illegally and are alleged to have been involved in criminal activities in both the US and India. The arrests were made under the FBI’s Operation Summer Heat, a nationwide initiative aimed at apprehending violent criminals and gang members.</p>

<p><strong>Bihar Voter List Revision:</strong> With Bihar elections slated for the end of the year, a controversy has erupted over the voter list revision (SIR). This time, the accusations and counter-accusations are not between political leaders, but between the Election Commission and opposition parties. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has made a significant revelation in the voter list revision (Special Intensive Revision). According to Election Commission sources, a door-to-door survey conducted as part of the SIR has found that several individuals from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Myanmar are currently residing in Bihar.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Names to be Removed if Accusations Proven</h2>



<p>According to EC sources, these individuals allegedly obtained Indian documents such as Aadhaar cards, residence certificates, and ration cards through illegal means. If the accusations are proven, their names will be removed from the voter list.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Will Not Be Included in Voter List</h2>



<p>Sources say that these names are now under thorough investigation. Names that are not verified after August 1st will not be included in the final voter list to be published on September 30th. Media reports suggest that the Election Commission may publicly release these names after the publication of the final voter list.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tejashwi&#8217;s Response</h2>



<p>Regarding the revelation of names from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar in the Bihar voter list, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav questioned the source of this information, stating, &#8220;Who are these sources? These are the same sources that claimed to have captured Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore. We consider these sources to be…waste. The last SIR was conducted in 2003 under the UPA government. Several elections have taken place since then. We lost those elections by 3-4 lakh votes. Does this mean all these foreigners voted for PM Modi?&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bihar-Nepal&#8217;s Close Ties &#8211; Tejashwi</h2>



<p>Tejashwi further stated that the NDA is responsible for any suspicious entries in the voter list, implying that all their election victories were fraudulent. He added that Bihar and Nepal share close ties, with Nepalese people serving in the Bihar Police and the Army. He claimed that the Election Commission has been acting like a political party&#8217;s wing since the Supreme Court took cognizance of the matter and advised the Election Commission. He asserted that if there are fraudulent voters, the responsibility lies with the Election Commission and the NDA government.</p>


<p>The names of these individuals are now undergoing thorough scrutiny. Those names that are not verified after August 1st will not be included in the final voter list to be published on September 30th.</p>

<p>The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) has released the admit card for the Bihar Police Constable recruitment examination 2025, scheduled for 20 July. <p>This year&#8217;s constable recruitment examination is being conducted in six phases. The examination will begin on 16 July and the final phase will be held on 3 August. His management company released a statement confirming the incident. <p><strong>Kota Road Accident:</strong> A tragic road accident occurred on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in the Digod sub-division of Kota rural area in the early hours of Sunday. A jeweller&#8217;s family from Karauli, returning from an engagement ceremony, collided with a truck. Four members of the family died in the accident, and ten others sustained serious injuries.</p>



<p>The accident took place near Budhadit village, on the Chambal bridge, at around 5 am. The deceased have been identified as Anil Soni (48), his brother Brajesh Soni (45), their mother Geeta Soni (63), and brother-in-law Suresh Soni (45). Suresh Soni was a government school teacher posted in Bharatpur.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Returning from Indore</h2>



<p>Rural Superintendent of Police, Sujit Shankar, stated that the jeweller&#8217;s family had gone to Indore from Sita badi area of Karauli on Saturday night. Anil Soni&#8217;s son, Ranu, an engineer in Bengaluru, had his engagement and godhbharai ceremony there. The family left Indore for Karauli at 9 pm in a mini-bus.</p>



<p>According to the police, the mini-bus was possibly speeding, and the accident occurred due to the driver falling asleep. The impact was so severe that three people died on the spot, while one succumbed to injuries during treatment at MBS Hospital, Kota.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">14 People in the Bus</h2>



<p>There were a total of 14 people in the minibus. Seven out of the ten injured are reported to be in critical condition. Four have been admitted to a private hospital, and three to MBS Hospital, Kota. The remaining three injured were discharged after receiving first aid.</p>



<p>Upon receiving information about the incident, Budhadit police station personnel reached the scene and initiated rescue and relief operations. The bodies of the deceased were sent to Kota for post-mortem. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the causes of the accident.</p>

<p>Layers of fraud in the Rajasthan State Open School&#8217;s mark sheets are beginning to unravel, revealing a conspiracy involving open school officials and departmental employees. A contractor of the open school was granted the authority to modify mark sheets by the Department of Information and Technology (DoIT). This was facilitated by an email sent to DoIT from the education department&#8217;s Shala Darpan in 2020.</p>



<p>This clearly indicates that the mark sheet fraud in the Rajasthan State Open School has been ongoing for the past five years. More employees and officials are implicated in this scheme. In light of this, the open school has halted the printing of mark sheets for approximately one lakh students who passed their 10th and 12th-grade examinations in the 2024-25 session. Furthermore, the issuance of duplicate mark sheets has also been stopped.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">DoIT Records Crucial for Further Investigation</h2>



<p>Following the filing of a case at the Bajaj Nagar police station, the Rajasthan State Open School has requested seven years&#8217; worth of records from the DoIT. However, the DoIT has yet to provide the complete records. Consequently, the open school has not provided the records to the police. Furthermore, even after more than 15 days, the education department has not yet formed a committee to investigate the matter.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Marks Unaltered, Names and Parental Details Changed</h2>



<p>Five years ago, the contractor was granted the authority to modify mark sheets by the DoIT. Recently, when the matter came to light, it was discovered that this contractor changed the names and addresses on mark sheets with good grades and issued them to others. This clearly shows that a fraudulent modification of mark sheets has been ongoing for five years.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Details of the Case</h2>



<p>The fraud in the Rajasthan State Open School&#8217;s mark sheets was exposed. Assistant Director Umesh Kumar Sharma filed a report at the Bajaj Nagar police station. The report stated that an individual named Deepak had passed the Rajasthan State Open School examination. His mark sheet was uploaded to the computer system. <p><strong>Jaipur:</strong> A tense situation unfolded in Babu Ka Tiba in the Ramganj police station area on Saturday night after a verbal altercation between two groups escalated into a stone-pelting incident. The incident began when some young men passed lewd remarks at a woman. This led to a fight, and then rioting and stone-throwing.</p>



<p>Both groups engaged in heavy stone-pelting. News of the incident spread to other areas, causing panic. Police from several stations arrived at the scene and used mild force to disperse the rioters. Seven people were taken into custody.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Protest Erupts</h2>



<p>According to police and eyewitnesses, the incident began when a woman was passing through the area. Some young men gathered there started making lewd remarks at her. When some bystanders protested, the accused men resorted to violence. Upon receiving information, the woman&#8217;s relatives also arrived at the scene. Both sides confronted each other, leading to a larger fight and subsequent stone-pelting.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Panic Spreads, Residents Confined to Homes</h2>



<p>Before the incident, the area was calm. However, following the violence, panic spread throughout the area, and people confined themselves to their homes. Some people climbed onto rooftops, who were later brought down by the police. Locals claim that it has become difficult for women to pass through this route due to frequent harassment by anti-social elements.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Reinforcements Deployed, Patrols Increased</h2>



<p>During the violence, the windows of two four-wheelers and three two-wheelers were damaged. Police have detained seven suspects. Police officials say the situation is now under control, but additional forces have been deployed as a precaution. CCTV footage is being examined to identify the culprits. Patrols have been increased in the area to prevent any further disturbances.</p>

<p><strong>Tamil Nadu Train Accident:</strong> A goods train carrying fuel derailed in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, on Sunday morning, resulting in a massive fire engulfing the fuel tankers. The train, carrying diesel from Chennai Port, derailed near Tiruvallur, causing the fuel tankers to ignite.</p>

<p>Smoke and flames consumed a section of the train. Authorities fear the fire may spread further due to the large quantity of fuel on board. Five carriages are completely ablaze.</p>

<p>Firefighters are struggling to contain the blaze, with more than ten fire engines deployed. Police are evacuating residents from nearby areas. Power supply has been cut off as a safety precaution. LPG cylinders in houses near the accident site are being removed for safety reasons.</p>

<p>Following the incident, several express trains heading towards Chennai Central on the Tiruvallur-Arakkonam route have been halted, causing significant inconvenience to passengers. Affected trains include the Mangaluru-Chennai Central Mail, scheduled to arrive at 6:10 AM but stopped at Tiruvallur station.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Passenger Disruptions</h2>



<p>Additionally, the Kaveri Express from Ashokpur, scheduled for 6:45 AM arrival, is stranded at Arakkonam station. The Nilgiri Express, scheduled to reach Chennai Central at 6:25 AM, is halted at Tiruvallurangadi station (Tiruvallur district). The Coimbatore-bound Cheran Superfast Express, scheduled for a 7:00 AM arrival at Chennai Central, is also stopped at Arakkonam station. This unexpected disruption has impacted passenger journeys, causing considerable inconvenience. These trains remain halted at various stations until the situation normalises.</p>

<p>Police have apprehended the accused driver, identified as Utsav Shekhar, 40. Medical tests confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, and his intoxication led to him losing control of his vehicle.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Victims Were From Rajasthan</h2>



<p>According to police, the victims were from Rajasthan. They have been identified as Ladhi (age 40), her 8-year-old daughter Bimla, her husband Sabami alias Chirma (age 45), Ramchander (age 45), and his wife Narayani (age 35). They were reportedly daily wage labourers in Delhi.</p>


<p>In Vasant Vihar, Delhi, a speeding Audi car ran over five people sleeping on the pavement. The accused was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and was arrested by the police at the scene.</p>

<p>Heavy rainfall is expected in Bihar from 16 July onwards. According to the Meteorological Department, most parts of North Bihar will experience rainfall, more so than South Bihar. Over the next 24 hours, cloudy conditions are expected in 19 districts, including the capital city, with a possibility of thunderstorms and sporadic rainfall. No significant change in maximum temperature is anticipated over the next five days.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cloudy Conditions Expected in Patna Today</h2>



<p>The Meteorological Department predicts cloudy skies for Patna on Friday, with a possibility of thunderstorms and rainfall in a few areas. Intermittent rainfall has been reported across various parts of Patna since Wednesday night. Due to the intermittent rainfall over the past two days, Patna has witnessed a decrease of 2.3°C in minimum temperature and 2.9°C in maximum temperature. The minimum temperature recorded in Patna was 25.9°C and the maximum temperature was 31°C. Approximately 6 millimetres of rainfall was recorded in the last 24 hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rainfall 52 Per cent Below Normal</h2>



<p>The monsoon arrived in Bihar on 17 June. While most parts of the state received rainfall initially, it gradually decreased. For the past week, many districts have experienced almost no rainfall. According to the Meteorological Department, Bihar has received 52 percent less rainfall than normal until Thursday. The state should have received 275.1 millimetres of rainfall, but only 133.2 millimetres have been recorded so far.</p>

<p><strong>Rampur News Today:</strong> A heart-wrenching accident occurred in the Ganj police station area of Rampur on Friday when a kite string entangled in a high-tension power line claimed the life of a motorbike rider. The incident happened when 42-year-old Ramchandra, a resident of Dungarpur village, was going to Johar Hospital with his wife Asha to visit a sick relative. Ramchandra died while trying to remove the kite string, while his wife sustained severe burns.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Accident on Degree College Road</h2>



<p>As Ramchandra and his wife Asha were passing near GRPG College on their motorbike, they noticed a kite string hanging across the road. Ramchandra attempted to remove the string, but it was entangled in a high-tension wire. As he touched the string, he was electrocuted.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Asha also burnt while trying to save her husband</h2>



<p>Seeing her husband electrocuted, Asha rushed to save him, but she too was burnt by the electric current. People present at the scene used sticks to separate the couple from the wire. However, Ramchandra had already lost consciousness. He was rushed to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Asha&#8217;s hand was severely burnt, and she is undergoing treatment.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kite flyers&#8217; negligence claims a life</h2>



<p>According to locals, some young men add thin iron wires to kite strings to make them stronger. This wire got entangled in the high-tension line, causing the accident. Upon receiving information about the incident, the electricity department team arrived at the scene and removed the string.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Locals demand strict action</h2>



<p>There is widespread anger among the locals over this incident. They say this is not the first such incident; several accidents have occurred due to kite strings before. They have demanded strict action against the negligent kite flyers and appealed to the administration to strictly prohibit this practice.</p>

<p>Land belonging to farmers will be acquired to widen the road from Natni Ka Bara to Alwar. The PWD NH will acquire approximately 43 hectares of land affecting around 3,000 farmers. The administration will provide compensation. Preparations are underway to announce the award within a week, after which the road work will proceed. An elevated road is proposed in Sariska.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Compensation of approximately ₹70 crore</h2>



<p>To connect that road, widening of approximately 14 kilometres of road from Natni Ka Bara to Alwar is necessary. After widening, this road will become a two-lane road. This will increase the speed of vehicles and reduce the distance between Alwar and Jaipur. The PWD NH requires land for widening. In this case, land belonging to nearby farmers will be acquired. This involves 500 khesras (land records) and the land of approximately 3,000 farmers. Compensation will be provided for 43 hectares of land. It is reported that approximately ₹70 crore will be given to the farmers as compensation.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">First phase survey complete</h2>



<p>PWD NH will construct a flyover in Kati Ghati. A Delhi-based agency is conducting the survey. The first phase of the survey has been completed. Now, in the second phase, the flyover route will be decided. This work is to be completed in three months. After that, it will go to the central government for approval, and then tenders will be invited for the construction of the flyover.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">₹88 crore to be spent on road widening</h2>



<p>₹88 crore will be spent on road widening. The work is not fully underway yet. After the award is announced, the department will focus on construction. A department engineer says that the administration is going to announce the award soon. After that, land acquisition will take place. Before that, farmers will also receive compensation.</p>
