
<p><strong>Holi Special Trains:</strong> With the Holi festival approaching, all trains to and from Raipur station are completely full. In view of this, the railway administration has announced three Holi special trains from Gondia station to Patna. An additional third AC coach has also been added to the Durg Humsafar train.</p>



<p>South East Central Railway is providing facilities for passengers from Gondia to Chhapra and Patna Junction during the Holi festival. These Holi special trains will help control the extra rush and ensure passengers get confirmed tickets. These special trains will start operating from March 11th. This is because Holika Dahan is on March 13th and Rangotsav will be celebrated on March 14th. Before these dates, there will be a rush of people to reach their ancestral villages and cities.</p>

<p>An AC-3 coach facility is being temporarily provided in train number 22867/22868 Durg-Nizamuddin-Durg Humsafar Express. This will be available from Durg station from March 7th to March 14th and from Nizamuddin from March 8th to March 15th.</p>

<p><strong>JIO/Airtel – Starlink Deal:</strong> Mukesh Ambani&#8217;s Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) and Elon Musk&#8217;s SpaceX have signed a landmark agreement to provide Starlink&#8217;s broadband internet service in India. This announcement comes just a day after Bharti Airtel announced a partnership with Starlink. </p>



<p>Under this agreement, satellite-based broadband services will now be available across the country, including rural and remote areas of India. This move will help connect inaccessible areas where providing traditional connectivity has been a challenge.</p>



<p>Jio, the world&#8217;s largest mobile operator, and Starlink, a leading operator of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellations, will work together to transform India&#8217;s digital landscape through this partnership. </p>



<p>Starlink solutions will be available to Jio customers through Jio stores as well as online platforms. Jio stated in its release that this agreement with SpaceX will make reliable internet accessible to all enterprises, small and medium businesses, and communities across India. </p>



<p>Starlink&#8217;s technology will complement JioAirFiber and JioFiber services by expanding high-speed internet in a fast and affordable manner, even in the most challenging locations. Both companies will also explore other potential avenues of collaboration within India&#8217;s digital ecosystem.</p>

<p>A Maharashtra court has ordered the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to exchange old notes worth ₹20 lakh, eight years after demonetisation. Following a Bombay High Court ruling, old ₹500 notes seized by the Income Tax Department during demonetisation will now be exchanged.</p>



<p>The Bombay High Court recently directed the RBI to exchange the seized old notes belonging to eight individuals from Kolhapur with new currency. This decision provides significant relief to the eight petitioners after eight years.</p>



<p>Ramesh Potdar and seven others from Kolhapur filed a petition in the High Court in 2017. A division bench of Justices Atul Chandurkar and Milind Sathe, while deciding on this petition, ordered the Reserve Bank to exchange the demonetised ₹500 notes for new currency by 12 March 2025.</p>



<p>On 8 November 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation. Subsequently, the Reserve Bank allowed the deposit of old notes in banks until 30 December 2016. However, just four days before this deadline, on 26 December 2016, the Income Tax department raided the Potdar family&#8217;s home and seized ₹20 lakh worth of old ₹500 notes.</p>



<p>Later, the Income Tax department summoned the Potdar family for questioning and recorded their statements. After the investigation, on 10 January 2017, the department informed the Shahuwadi police that the notes would not be confiscated. Following this, on 14 January 2017, the police informed the Potdar family.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Reserve Bank&#8217;s Refusal</h2>



<p>After receiving the money back, when the Potdar family went to the Mumbai RBI office on 17 January 2017 and requested the exchange of their old notes, the top bank officials refused, as the deadline for exchanging notes had passed. The Potdar family was forced to approach the High Court.</p>


<p>The Bombay High Court has directed the Reserve Bank of India to exchange the obsolete banknotes held by the petitioners.</p>

<p><strong>MP Budget 2025:</strong> The Mohan government&#8217;s budget, to be presented on Wednesday, is expected to offer numerous benefits to people in both urban and rural areas. </p>



<p>While focusing on the development of the four categories identified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s GYAN initiative &#8211; poor, youth, farmers, and women- provisions may be made to implement the promised metro systems in Bhopal and Indore. Bhopal Metropolitan could be formed by including Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, and Rajgarh districts.</p>



<p>Similarly, Indore Metropolitan could be formed by including Ujjain, Dewas, and Dhar districts. If the Mohan government proceeds with these two proposed metropolitan cities as promised, it will not only lead to the development of these cities but also ensure growth in the connected rural areas. Currently, these rural areas bear their own burdens; becoming part of a metropolitan area will provide them with budget allocations, facilitating development.</p>



<p>Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has already implemented the mission for the poor, youth, farmers, and women. The budget will include provisions for schemes related to these groups. Special attention will be given to farmers; provisions are likely to be made in the Krishak Unnati Yojana (Farmer Progress Scheme) to encourage them. Incentives for wheat, rice, and millets production are expected to be a key feature.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Recruitment for Vacant Positions</strong></h2>



<p>Recruitment for 2.5 lakh vacant government positions is expected within the next two years. The government may present a roadmap for this. In the next financial year, recruitments for 1 lakh positions will be conducted through competitive examinations by the Staff Selection Commission and the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. The current financial year also saw an announcement of 1 lakh appointments; the process is underway, with appointments already made for some positions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>600 New Schools to Open</strong></h2>



<p>The budget may announce the opening of new schools under the new education policy. This number could be around 600. The launch of 274 CM Rise schools may also be announced.</p>

<p>Expansion of air ambulance services in the state is likely to be announced in the budget. This service will greatly assist in transporting patients suffering from serious illnesses from smaller towns to hospitals in larger cities.</p>

<p><strong>Madhya Pradesh Budget 2025: </strong>Ladli Behna Yojana to Continue: The government has assured that no existing schemes will be discontinued. On Monday, the first day of the Madhya Pradesh Budget session (Madhya Pradesh Budget 2025), Governor Mangubhai Patel gave this assurance to the House during his address. This confirms that the ambitious Ladli Behna Yojana in MP will not be shut down for now. This is welcome news for the eligible women beneficiaries. </p>



<p>The Governor&#8217;s address, spanning 22 minutes, highlighted the government&#8217;s welfare initiatives. Congress MLAs protested the short duration of the session, arriving at the assembly wearing black masks and staging a demonstration at the Gandhi statue. They demanded an extension of the session, arguing that a short session would prevent them from adequately raising the concerns of the public.</p>



<p>Subsequently, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee decided to maximise discussion time in the House. The meeting, chaired by Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, was attended by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar. It was decided that there would be no lunch break during the session, ensuring continuous proceedings and allowing for more discussion time. An agreement was also reached to extend the House sittings until late evening, breaking with the long-standing tradition of adjourning proceedings after the budget presentation. </p>



<p>Finance Minister Jagdish Deora will present the budget on March 12th. House proceedings will resume at 3 pm on the same day to address government business. The budget session meetings will continue until late evening, without a lunch break.</p>

<p><strong>Hiring In India:</strong> Indian companies are projected to see an 11.1% increase in hiring in 2025 compared to 2024. While this is generally positive news for young people, it presents a challenge for those completing their studies and hoping for campus placements this year. The main reason is that the industry has the highest demand for candidates with one to five years of experience. According to the India Hiring Intent Survey 2025, companies only intend to hire 14% freshers for new positions, with an estimated 10% of those through campus placements.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">AI&#8217;s Role in Hiring </h2>



<p>The use of AI in the hiring process is expected to increase by 38%. 100% of employers in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector have expressed confidence in AI, while its influence in IT has reached 67%. </p>



<p>According to the report, the demand for talent is highest, at 47%, among candidates with one to five years of experience across all industries. 55.2% of companies have shown a positive attitude towards hiring candidates from this group. 26% of new hires are expected to be candidates with 6-10 years of experience.</p>

The automotive industry leads the way with 21% new hires. In contrast, the manufacturing industry has the lowest demand for freshers, at only 5%.</p>

<p><strong>LSG fast bowler Mayank Yadav set to miss first half of IPL 2025</strong>: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mayank Yadav will miss the first half of IPL 2025. Reports suggest Yadav is recovering from a lower back injury. He recently resumed bowling at the BCCI&#8217;s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, where he sustained the injury after making his international debut against Bangladesh last October.</p>



<p>The BCCI hasn&#8217;t set a definitive return date for Mayank, but if he meets all fitness standards and gradually increases his bowling workload, he could feature in the second half of the IPL.</p>



<p>Mayank&#8217;s unavailability for the first half of the tournament is a significant blow to the Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants, especially considering the franchise retained him for ₹11 crore before the mega auction. This represented a substantial increase in his salary, having been bought for just ₹20 lakh as an uncapped fast bowler before the 2024 season.</p>



<p>Mayank&#8217;s hefty salary was primarily attributed to his raw pace. His ability to consistently bowl above 150 kmph earned him consecutive Player of the Match awards in the IPL&#8217;s first two matches. His potential prompted national selectors to include him in the fast bowler pool and offer him a fast bowling contract.</p>



<p>Mayank&#8217;s IPL 2024 stint was limited to just four matches due to a side strain suffered in his last two appearances. During rehabilitation, he sustained a separate injury, delaying his return, but he eventually played in the T20 matches against Bangladesh.</p>



<p>However, he subsequently suffered another injury, requiring further rehabilitation. While the BCCI hasn&#8217;t officially commented on Mayank&#8217;s injury, it&#8217;s understood he has a strain in his lower back on the left side.</p>

<p>Schools in the national capital, Delhi, will be closed on 13-14 March. However, since many schools in Delhi follow a 5-day work week, the Holi holiday here may be longer. Schools in Delhi may remain closed until 16 March, resulting in a total of 4 days holiday.</p>

<p><strong>Jaipur.</strong> Major news has emerged regarding the expansion of metro services in Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has directed that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed metro corridor (Phase-2) from Sitapura (Goner Mod) to Ambabari (Todi Mod) be completed by 31 March 2025. He stated that tenders for the civil works of this project should be issued before 15 August, and its timely implementation ensured. This new metro route will connect major areas such as Pratap Nagar, Tonk Road, Sikar Road, and Vidhyadhar Nagar, providing better transport facilities to the general public.</p>

<p>The Chief Minister directed that the work of operating the metro from Sitapura to Ambabari under Phase-2 should begin soon. This project will connect areas like Pratapnagar, Tonk Road, Sikar Road, Vidhyadhar Nagar, and Sitapura to the metro service, providing convenient and fast transport facilities to a large number of people.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">&#8216;<strong>Pay Special Attention to Passenger Amenities at Metro Stations</strong>&#8216;</h2>



<p>He instructed the officials to ensure adequate parking arrangements at the proposed stations on the Sitapura-Ambabari metro corridor. He also instructed that the stations be connected to pod taxi systems, keeping in mind passenger convenience. Sharma provided necessary guidelines while discussing the alignment of the metro route.</p>



<p>In the meeting, officials gave a detailed presentation to the Chief Minister regarding the metro project. They stated that all the ongoing and future metro rail projects of the state will be implemented by a joint venture company of the central government and JMRC.</p>



<p>On this occasion, the Chief Minister&#8217;s Additional Chief Secretary Shikhar Agrawal and Principal Secretary Alok Gupta, Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation&#8217;s CMD Vaibhav Galaria, Jaipur Development Authority Commissioner Aanndi, and other related officials were present.</p>

<p>Rain Alert: The weather in Uttar Pradesh is currently causing discomfort. March usually brings cool breezes, but this year, temperatures have begun to rise. </p>



<p>The entire state is experiencing a heatwave. In many districts of southern UP, temperatures have crossed 35 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, light showers and thunderstorms are likely in many parts of UP from 13 to 15 March due to the influence of a Western Disturbance.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A New Western Disturbance to Become Active Again</h2>



<p>According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the Regional Meteorological Centre, light showers are expected in the Terai and north-western UP regions due to the impact of the new Western Disturbance. </p>



<p>On Tuesday, the mercury in several districts of southern UP crossed 35 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature remained above 15 degrees Celsius in about 18 districts.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Possibility of Rain Before Holi</h2>



<p>The Meteorological Department has stated that light showers with thunderstorms are likely in the Terai region of western Uttar Pradesh, Agra, and Bundelkhand between 13 and 15 March. </p>



<p>Besides Uttar Pradesh, heavy rain and thunderstorms are predicted for parts of Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi. Westerly winds are also expected to blow at 30 km per hour, which may provide some relief from the heat.</p>
